COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus)

Some commercial businesses at the World Trade Center have adjusted their operating hours. The public areas are open under the continued operation of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey for all members of the community.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey encourages all travelers utilizing the agency’s facilities across the region to make themselves aware of the health and safety protocols established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the New York State Department of Health, and the New Jersey Department of Health with regards to the coronavirus. Should you have questions or concerns about the coronavirus, please consult the following:

Face coverings are required at the World Trade Center. Read about how to wear and use cloth face coverings on the CDC website.

Cleanings of surfaces frequently touched by customers throughout the Oculus have been increased. All areas will be disinfected on a regular basis using EPA-approved and CDC-endorsed disinfectants. For more information please click here.

Public restrooms are open at the following locations in the Oculus: Main Level, T2 North Concourse (near the Westfield Property Management Offices) and Main Level, T3 South Concourse (next to the stairs). Restroom hours are 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday - Saturday and 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Sunday.

World Trade Center and Oculus entry, exit, and concourse closures:

  • Oculus Balcony Level Connector to E-Train closed.
  • 2WTC Transit Lobby and Mezzanine partially closed.
  • 4WTC Transit Lobby Levels 1 & 2 partially closed.

Vehicle access points across the campus are currently limited to:

  • West Street southbound left-turn lanes at Liberty Street (entrance/exit)
  • Trinity Place at Liberty Street (entrance)
  • Greenwich Street at Liberty Street (exit)
  • Fulton Street at West Street (exit)   

The WTC PATH Station is currently open, including on weekends, and running on a modified schedule until further notice.

Starting May 6, 2020, there will be no subway service from 1:00 am to 5:00 am. Entrances/exits to the subway stations within the Oculus will be closed during this time.


Essential workers can use MTA's Essential Connector program.

Westfield Shops and Dining at the Oculus are now open. Check with individual retailers for specific store hours.

Monday - Saturday: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm
Sunday: 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm

The 9/11 Memorial & Museum is open.

Saturday - Wednesday: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Tuesday - Wednesday: Closed

One World Observatory is temporarily closed.
