COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus)


Some commercial businesses at the World Trade Center have adjusted their operating hours. The public areas are open under the continued operation of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey for all members of the community.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey encourages all travelers  utilizing the agency’s facilities across the region to make themselves aware of the health and safety protocols established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the New York State Department of Health, and the New Jersey Department of Health with regards to the coronavirus. Should you have questions or concerns about the coronavirus, please consult the following:

Face coverings are required at the World Trade Center. Read about how to wear and use cloth face coverings on the CDC website.

The Oculus street level access is limited overnight from 1:00 am to 5:00 am to allow for maintenance and the safety and security of customers due to reduced traffic volumes. For street level access to the WTC PATH station or to the NYCT MTA subway, please use the Vesey Street or Fulton Street entrance via the North Concourse in the 2 World Trade Center Transit Lobby. All other street level entrances are closed.
 

For elevator street level access, please use Elevator 23 in the 2 World Trade Center Transit Lobby. If you have any issues accessing elevators, please ask a nearby security agent for assistance.

Public restrooms are open at the following locations in the Oculus.

Open 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday to Sunday:

  • Main Level, T2 North Concourse, near the Westfield Property Management Offices
Open 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Saturday and 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Sunday:
  • Balcony Level, T2 North Concourse, near the elevators 
  • Main Level, T3 South Concourse, next to the stairs
  • Street Level, T4 between Banana Republic and H&M

Cleanings of surfaces frequently touched by customers throughout the Oculus have been increased. All areas are disinfected on a regular basis using EPA-approved and CDC-endorsed disinfectants. For more information please click here.

The WTC PATH Station is currently open, including on weekends, and running on a modified schedule until further notice.

MTA NYC subway service is running 24/7.

Westfield Shops and Dining at the Oculus are open. 

Monday - Saturday: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm

Sunday: 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm

The 9/11 Memorial & Museum is open.

The 9/11 Memorial 

10:00 am to 5:00 pm, daily 


The 9/11 Memorial Museum

Thursday - Monday: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Tuesday - Wednesday: Closed

One World Observatory is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
